Monitoring of irrigation pivot to improve productivity
Farmers can remotely and real-time monitor the machinery of their irrigation to ensure that it works properly. The pivot is driven by a controller which can be remotely accessed and programmed over Internet. This control unit receives the signal of sensors about the water pressure of the taps or the pipes. It can also detect rain to leverage the quantity of water which is irrigated or it can measure a certain level of water from a pit. A eWon smart device for remote access which contains a M2M SIM is connected to the Control unit via a RS232 serial cable. The farmer is then able to remotely access the control unit and monitore and control the pivot. On the other hand, we have a software that processes the data collected by the sensors, stores them in the cloud and makes them available to farmers in a simple way through a mobile app with which they can track their operation in real time.
